Al Waha is Oman's first dedicated family hotel. It is the largest of the hotels at Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa, Sultanate of Oman. Comprising 262 guestrooms, each room provides guests with either a 5 sqm balcony or patio, with seaview or sea-facing perspectives.

The name Al Waha means "The Oasis", and has been designed such that the hotel's several swimming pools form an oasis incorporating many date palm trees.

The architecture of Al Waha is traditional Dhofari, from the southern region of Oman. Nestled at the foot of a mountain range, vehicular access has been made possible by a man-made tunnel.

Children's club

The Cool Zone Kids’ Club, for children aged 4-8, is open from 9am to 6pm and features both indoor and outdoor play areas. Children under 4 are welcome too but will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The Adventure Zone is located at Al Mazaar souk and features an extensive range of modular play areas including slides, climbing walls, ball pits and soft play areas. Two children’s pools are available – one at Al Waha next to the Assira Pool Bar, and one at Al Bandar by the Circles Pool Bar. Splashpad, which is located at Al Waha, is an aquatic play area where children can enjoy a variety of water effects.

On a long stretch of golden sandy beach on the bay of Barr Al Jissah overlooking the Gulf of Oman.
